The Rockets head to the Mile High City to take on Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets
After dispatching the Memphis Grizzlies for the third time this season, the Houston Rockets head to Colorado to take on the Denver Nuggets.
In the Playback room, we’ve talked about which West teams would be favored over Houston in a series if the playoffs started today. Oklahoma City is obvious, and we’ve basically added the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets to that list. I think most pundits would put Memphis ahead of Houston (even with Houston’s regular season success against the Grizz), and maybe the Lakers just because LeBron is LeBron. And of course, every Rockets fan would be terrified of the Warriors, even if most “experts” can objectively see that the Rockets have more talent.
Anyway, the Nuggets are probably the third-best team in the West (behind OKC and Dallas). They’ve been up-and-down, but have won four straight. Jamal Murray broke out of a shooting slump in a major way last night, dropping 45 points on 18-26 shooting. We know that Alperen Sengun enjoys playing against Nikola Jokic, but Houston’s success might hinge on the Jalen Green vs. Murray game-within-a-game.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
