On Thursday night, Tari Eason wrote a check for the Houston Rockets that they couldn’t cash. He was wearing a “Warriors come out to play” shirt for his team’s pivotal matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
Both the Rockets and Warriors are vying for a spot in the play-in tournament. Golden State ultimately dismantled Houston on the road this Thursday.
Warriors guard Klay Thompson ripped Eason’s actions after the game. His biggest issue was that Eason didn’t even play. If that’s the case, why troll the Warriors from the bench?
“That’s pretty lame, especially if you’re not even playing,” Thompson said. “It’s one thing if you are out there playing, out there competing and you can back it up. But you’re just going to be trolling from the sideline? What are you doing? The time we talk smack, we’re out there competing. That’s all I have to say about that.”
Steph Curry, on the other hand, trolled Eason by referencing an infamous scene from “The Warriors.” It was the perfect response considering Eason got his one-liner from that film.
Steph was trolling the Rockets in tonight’s W 😅

Eason didn’t speak to the media after Houston’s loss.
With the win over the Rockets, the Warriors have essentially locked up a spot in the play-in tournament. As of right now, they’re on track to face the Lakers.
