This week’s question dealt with Houston’s top player last season, Fred VanVleet. The point guard made a massive difference for the offense, helping to lift the Rockets out of the basement and to a .500 record. He also has a massive contract.
The good news is, the team has some flexibility, as the final year of VanVleet’s $128 million deal, despite being for $45 million, is just a team option. The Rockets can decide to pay him or decide to move on to Amen Thompson or Reed Sheppard or even somone else.
