Charania also reports that the Rockets have contacted teams and have even offered them draft picks to take Porter off their hands. He’s entering the first year of a four-year $82.5 million deal.
The NBA is currently investigating Porter after the incident allegedly took place on Monday night in a New York City hotel. His girlfriend fractured her neck vertebra and had a cut above her right eye.
He’s not expected to take part in Rockets training camp when it begins early next month.
Porter has been with the Rockets for the last three seasons and finished the 2023-23 campaign averaging 19 points and five rebounds per game.
