On Thursday, former All-Star guard John Wall was traded back to the Rockets. As part of this three-team deal, the Clippers acquired Eric Gordon and the Grizzlies received Luke Kennard.
Wall spent two seasons on the Rockets before making his way to the Clippers. During a recent appearance on the Run Your Race podcast, he had some harsh things to say about Houston’s organization.
“I always wanted to teach them like, ‘Don’t get used to this s–t, this is not how the NBA is. It’s just a bad organization right now.’ Like, they got to fix some s–t around,” Wall said. “I’d always talk to Jalen Green, Kevin Porter, KJ [Martin], like, ‘Don’t get adjusted to this losing s–t, this is not how the league is.’ But at the same time, I had to tell them like, ’The s–t y’all are getting away with over here, if you go to any other teams, you would be out of the f—ing league! You wouldn’t play!’ I’m trying to explain that to them because they think it’s sweet.’”
Fast forward to this Thursday, and Wall is being sent to the team that he publicly trashed.
The reactions to Wall going back to Houston are quite comical.

According to multiple reports, Wall will be a buyout candidate.
If Wall ends up on the open market, he’ll have a chance to find the right landing spot for the final stretch of the regular season.
