After missing Monday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is set to return tonight.
According to Yahoo Sports NBA insider Chris Haynes, LeBron will return to action against the Houston Rockets for tonight’s game. He has been dealing with knee soreness and did not dress against the Spurs on Monday.
LeBron has missed 18 games for the Lakers this season. LA have gone 6-12 in games where he hasn’t played and are 22-24 when he does play.
On the court, LeBron has been rock solid all season. He’s averaging 29.4 points a game this season – his highest average in over a decade.
Naturally, Lakers fans are thrilled to see LeBron coming back. Rockets fans are a little less enthused:

The Lakers have less than 20 games remaining to secure their spot in the play-in round. They’re just three games ahead of several teams trying to take their spot.
Having LeBron James back for this final push is absolutely essential. And beating the teams that they’re supposed to beat – like the 29th-place Rockets – will go a long ways.
That being said, everybody needs to be on point for these final few weeks of the season. LeBron can’t put the entire team on his back like he used to and somebody needs to start stepping up.
Will LeBron James make a big impact in his return to the team?
