After a tough overtime win in Minnesota that forced Ime Udoka to ride his starters (non-Jalen Green division), the Houston Rockets have to turn right around to take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
Thankfully, the Sixers are also on a back-to-back Unfortunately, the Sixers have had two days off coming into this game. Fortunately for Houston, Philly will be missing two of their stars in Joel Embiid and Paul George. Former Rocket Kyle Lowry is also out.
Philly does have a dynamic guard combo in Tyrese Maxey and Rookie of the Year frontrunner Jared McCain (he of the TikTok and painted nails fame). Both can light it up and score enough to keep Philly in ball games. Kelly Oubre Jr. will also be in the building as will former Rockets Eric Gordon and Kenyon Martin Jr.
With no Embiid, Houston should be able to play through Alperen Sengun. The real issue will come if Philly’s shooters get hot and the game is close late. The Rockets will be on tired legs while the Sixers will be fresh.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
