After back-to-back overtime wins on the road, the Houston Rockets got three well-deserved days off. They currently sit in second place in the Western Conference, which no one outside of the homerist of homers expected. Tonight, they take on the top seed in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
We’ve mentioned it a few times before, specifically during the preseason and regular season matchup a couple of weeks ago, but it bears mentioning that the Thunder are ahead of the Rockets right now. The only thing that gives Houston a chance tonight is the combination of Thunder injuries and the fact that the game is in Houston. OKC will get dragged into some tough cap decisions as they have to pay Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren this summer, but they’re in an enviable position compared to Houston for sure.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
