The Rockets look for the season sweep against the Grizzlies
This has been a tremendous stretch for the Houston Rockets. With wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Boston Celtics, and Atlanta Hawks over their past four games, Houston has won some of their most difficult games. The Rockets currently have the 20th-hardest remaining strength of schedule.
The Memphis Grizzlies sport a top 3 hardest remaining schedule. Despite having seemingly played the injury-ravaged Pelicans 25 times this season, Memphis hasn’t been able to catch the Rockets in the standings. Houston has won the first three matchups between these teams, with two of those coming this month. Houston owning the season series is huge boon for Houston and takes a lot of the pressure off tonight’s contest, especially if Alperen Sengun is unavailable.
The Grizzlies are coming off a difficult loss at Madison Square Garden. Until that game, Memphis was on an 8-game winning streak against non-Houston teams. Luke Kennard was starting to hit his stride, which takes Memphis into another level as a squad. With Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis will always be a team to be reckoned with. Now with some depth and health, they’ve shown that they belong near the top of the West.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
