The Rockets look for the tenth consecutive win against the Nikola Jokic-less Nuggets
This is a huge game for the Houston Rockets. In the micro, a win tonight would give Houston their tenth straight win. In the macro, it would move Houston to three games above the Denver Nuggets and give them the tiebreaker for the season series. It would become incredibly difficult for Denver to catch Houston at that point, even with Houston’s tough schedule to end the season. It also likely means that at least one team won’t care about the season finale, which will take place in Houston on April 13. You never want both teams to desperately want the final game of the season, so this would be a boon.
Nikola Jokic is missing his fourth consecutive game tonight, which is another reason why Houston needs this game. Obviously, this puts all of the pressure on Houston and takes all of it off Denver. There are potentially other pieces that could be missing for Denver.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
