The Rockets head to Charlotte for the second night of a back-to-back
It’s the second night of a back-to-back for the Houston Rockets.
Maybe their opponents, the Charlotte Hornets, also played yesterday?
Nope. Of course the Hornets last played on Friday. Sure.
So after a tough, hard-fought win over the Toronto Raptors, the Rockets fly to the East Coast to take on the Hornets in a rematch of Opening Night.
That game was won by Charlotte even though Houston held an 18-point lead early in the third quarter. LaMelo Ball finished with 34, Tre Mann dropped 24, and Grant Williams hit a dagger 3-pointer. The latter two of those players are out tonight, as is Brandon Miller. Charlotte has the same record that Toronto had going into the game last nght (7-21), but with tonight’s game being a back-to-back, another slow start could doom Houston.
Finally, keep your eye out for Tari Eason’s status. He has missed Houston’s last two games for “load management,” but if he’s out tonight, it might be time to get worried.
Update: Eason is OUT. Time to get worried.
We’ll be in the Playback room tonight, so you should come join to watch the Rockets and talk about the game. Remember, we get a handful of VIP passes that we give out to anyone who wants to watch the game. No League Pass necessary!
