Michael Carter-Williams: Orlando for me was like a breath of fresh air. When I came to Orlando, it was like a whole new start for me. I had things going on in my life that were tough. I got released from Houston. My fiancé left me with our baby, caught me doing some dumb shit. A lot of info to unpack. Went through a tough, tough time. My girl left me, my fiancé left me with the baby to California. A week later, I get released from Houston. Deep depression. Didn’t want to talk to nobody. Wouldn’t leave my bed for days. Rough times. I put my head down, started working out, seeing my daughter. Things started to be clear to me on what mattered. Went to Orlando. Back in the league, back on a team, back around guys. It was a good step for me.
