The Houston Texans defense ended the half the same way it started it: intercepting Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff.
In a last-ditch effort before halftime, Detroit attempted to cut into Houston’s 16-point lead.
Goff went deep and rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter intercepted it to protect the Texans’ lead heading into halftime.

Houston’s defense dominated Goff and the Lions offense in the first half, forcing three interceptions. Goff had not thrown an interception since Week 3 and had just four all season.
Detroit’s offense had been on a heater heading into Sunday night. During the six-game winning streak the Lions had more touchdowns (24) than incompletions (22). Goff has 10 incompletions in the first half.
Lassiter recorded his second professional interception. Sunday is the third game in which the Texans have recorded three takeaways.
