Sunday marked just the fifth time in the modern draft era that the top two picks in the NFL draft met in their rookie season when C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young squared off in Charlotte.
Young was able to outduel the No. 2 pick and earn his team their long-awaited first win of the season. And after the game, the pair were spotted having a friendly exchange in the tunnel.

Young and Stroud’s relationship dates all the way back to childhood. Fans reacted to their postgame interaction on Twitter:

Young finished 22-of-31 for 235 yards and a touchdown in the win. We’re sure this isn’t the last time we’ll see these two going head-to-head on the field.
