The Houston Texans suffered their worst loss of the season on Sunday at NRG Stadium, falling 32-27 to the Tennessee Titans to drop to 7-5 overall. Houston has lost three of its last four since starting the season 6-2.
Houston was 7-5 after 12 games last season, but that team was on the rise, while this year’s squad is trending down with five games remaining.
On Sunday, Indianapolis lost to Detroit, keeping the Texans’ divisional lead by two games.
Nothing seemed to go right for Houston, who committed 11 penalties, turned it over twice and allowed multiple explosive plays to the Titans. The Texans last drive ended with C.J. Stroud running out of the back of the end zone for a Titans safety.
Houston must find a way to secure a win next Sunday on the road at Everbank Stadium against the 2-9 Jacksonville Jaguars before the bye week.
