It was widely said that this needed to be a “Get Right” game for the Houston Texans’ offense after a disaster the previous week in Minnesota.
Nico Collins is on a mission to make sure that happens.
He has 6 targets with over 7 minutes remaining in the second quarter and has helped to aid quarterback CJ Stroud with the team missing wide receiver Tank Dell and running back Joe Mixon.
After a long drive, he caught Stroud’s first touchdown of the day over the middle after lining up in the slot. It gave Houston a 14-10 lead, moving ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars for the first time today.
Collins currently leads the NFL in receiving yards and appears well positioned through the early portion of the game to maintain the level of dominance he’s displayed thus far through the season.
He’ll have to continue his brilliant connection with Stroud if the team wants to secure their 3rd win of the season and avenge last year’s home loss against Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville.
Fans — and most fantasy owners — couldn’t stop smiling. Here’s how they responded to Collins’ second score of the season.
