Two games into the preseason and the Houston Texans will have some difficult decisions to make.
Well, difficult when it comes to which players are on the bubble and which are set to make the final 53-man roster.
C.J. Stroud, Stefon Diggs, Laremy Tunsil and others probably could probably skip the next three weeks of practice and still put up elite production come Week 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium. DeMeco Ryans wants his starters to play to get acclimated to a gameday atmosphere, but everyone knows what they can do when Sunday rolls around.
Right now, there are probably around 23 spots on the roster left available. The other 30 have been locked up either because of contracts or proven production, meaning Saturday’s preseason matchup against the New York Giants will be essential for these players to impress if they expect to make the final 53-man squad.
Which players should be considered “locks” to make the roster? Here’s Texans Wire’s list of players that should be on the field when Houston travels to Indianapolis to take on the Colts.
