The Houston Texans are short-handed on wide receivers ahead of Saturday’s AFC Divisional Round matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
Houston placed Noah Brown on the injured reserve following a first-round win over the Cleveland Browns. He joins Tank Dell, whose rookie season ended in December after suffering a fractured fibula.
To fill Brown’s vacated roster spot, the Texans signed wide receiver Steven Sims to the active roster on Tuesday. They also added defensive tackle McTelvin Agim to the practice squad.

Sims played three games for Houston this season. He caught all three targets for 25 yards.
The former third-round pick scored all six of his career touchdowns during two seasons at Washington. Sims then spent two years with the Pittsburgh Steelers before going to Houston in 2023.
Injuries to Houston’s receivers didn’t hinder C.J. Stroud, who completed 16 of 21 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns in his postseason debut. The rookie quarterback connected with Nico Collins on six of seven targets for 96 yards and a touchdown.
After Collins, Robert Woods and John Metchie are the only healthy Texans wide receivers who tallied double-digit receptions during the regular season. Metchie had never exceeded 25 yards in a game before collecting 53 total yards (44 rushing, nine receiving) on Saturday.
A week after handling the NFL’s No. 1-ranked defense, Stroud and the Texans will go on the road to face the AFC’s No. 1 seed. The Ravens tied the Browns with an NFL-best 5.9 yards per pass attempt allowed.
Houston and Baltimore will kick off the second-round showcase Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
