If the version of the Houston Texans that showed up on Saturday afternoon appears next week, it’s time to buy into the franchise’s chances of making history.
Which begs the question; where has this Texans’ team been all year?
The Texans picked off Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert four times and surpassed the 30-point marker for just the third time this season en route to a 32-12 victory at NRG Stadium.
For the first time in weeks, the starters looked like starters. The offense had juice. Special teams were somewhat special.
“That’s the complementary football that we been looking for and we been needing as a team,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said. “Just outstanding performance on all three phases.”
Houston’s double-digit victory earned the AFC South champions a trip to the divisional round next weekend against a to-be-determined opponent. For now, let’s grade how the team performed in what could be the final time in front of the home crowd for the 2024 campaign.
