The Houston Texans still can’t get over the hump.
Baltimore, Foxborough and Kansas City remain their Moby Dick in a quest to make franchise histroy.
Behind a Patrick Mahomes’ fourth-quarter surge, the Kansas City Chiefs shored up a seventh consecutive trip to the AFC title game with a 23-14 victory at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Officiating was poor. So was the Texans’ offensive line. C.J. Stroud could only do so much to evade the pressure on third down, leading to eight sacks on the night and a duress rate of 43.5%.
Now moving to 0-6 in the second weekend of the postseason, the Texans remain the only NFL franchise never to win a road playoff game or reach a conference championship game. They’ll look to accomplish the feat in 2025 with a new roster and hopefully a more stable offensive line.
Here’s how we graded Houston’s performance in the season-ending loss in a similar fashion to Week 16’s debacle.
