Following an incredible rookie season that ended in a playoff trip and Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud is ready for next year. But he’s also got some ideas for what the best offense in the NFL would look like with him in it.
Appearing on The Edge with Micah Parsons, Stroud named his “dream offense,” which includes wide receivers Davante Adams, Ja’Marr Chase and Tank Dell, running back Jahmyr Gibbs and tight end Travis Kelce with himself at quarterback to round out the skill position players.
For the offensive line, Stroud is picking Laremy Tunsil, Kevin Zeitler, Creed Humphrey, Quinton Nelson and Lane Johnson.
It’s not a bad group of players. All of the are either rising stars at their positions or already rank among the elite.
Some might complain about players like Tank Dell getting a spot as the No. 3 wide receiver, but it’s easy to let that one slide given that Dell was one of his best receivers in the NFL this past season.
There might also be some questions as to why he didn’t select All-Pros like Tyreek Hill or Christian McCaffrey for his team.
But for the most part, it’s a good team and certainly one that you could win a ton of games with – particularly with an incredible offensive line.
