The Houston Texans wrapped up their preseason schedule with a 17-15 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday at NRG Stadium.
Now comes the hard part. Over a dozen players performed admirably in Saturday’s contest and yet maybe 10 will make the active 53-man roster.
Some will be brought back on the practice squad. Others might have to turn to the UFL or Canada to continue their playing careers. And even those who make the final cut could be traded for draft compensation heading into Week 1, thus leaving a future spot open for a potential reunion.
Cut day is Tuesday, but some news will start trickling in as early as Monday. Not much has changed since the last time we did this projection, but after recent news and tell-tale signs, several names could be on the move.
For the final time before it becomes official, here are Texans Wire’s predictions for the final 53-man squad in 2024.
