NFL fans can get crazy at times. How insane can they get?
How about getting a free tattoo of a new logo that’s existed for less than 24 hours? A handful of ravenous Houston Texans fans were up for the challenge on Tuesday evening.

Sixteen loyalists of the AFC South champs lined up inside 713 Music Hall during the Texans’ uniform reveal party to receive fresh ink of the new H-Town logo from Red Dagger Tattoo in Pasadena. Four artists were tasked with offering both black and gray and color tattoos of the new “H” design that will be worn on the color rush jerseys this fall.
Some also were able to get the iconic bull logo, which remains on the home and away helmet, but most wanted the fresh logo to represent a new era of Houston football.
Countless fans were up for the design, but the tattoo parlor had to limit it to 16 people to give the artist time to make a proper design.
“I love the new H-Town Blue and the bull logo is the traditional look,” tattoo recipient Josh Zellars told The Houston Chronicle. “You put it all together and I think it looks great.”

The new uniforms have won over fans from the jump, both in Houston and nationally. Everyone seems to love the Liberty White and Battle Red designs, which feature upgrades from the jerseys designed back when during the inaugural season in 2002.
While the “H-Town Blue” is to pay homage to the culture of Houston and the old Houston Oilers, it does differ from the “Columbia Blue” that took the stage last season in Nashville. The Tennessee Titans, which steams from Bud Adams’ move out of Houston, debuted the Oilers’ throwbacks last season for two games.
The Texans, behind backup quarterback Case Keenum, bested Tennessee at Nissan Stadium in a 19-16 overtime win. The H-Town fit might just have to make an appearance next season when the Titans think of donning the Oilers’ uniforms.
Last night was legendary, & new ink is always a plus.

Even if it doesn’t pick up, Red Dagger tattoo artist Candice Renee told The Houston Chronicle that there should be an uptick in the new H-Town logo ink over the next few years.
“I feel like everyone’s going to be really excited about this,” Renee said. “I think it’s awesome that everyone has such dedication and love for the city to do this and for us to be a part of it is like history.”
