We’re about a month and a half away from Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF joining the Big 12.
The move was announced last June in response to Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC and USC and UCLA joining the Big Ten.
All three schools are expected to join the Big 12 on Jul. 1 and Houston men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson is fired up about it.
“I’m really excited about coaching in the Big 12 going forward. I think we’ll represent our University well,” Sampson said.

This comes after Sampson interviewed for the Milwaukee Bucks head-coaching job. Based on this text, he’s staying at Houston for this upcoming season and perhaps even longer.
