How are fans reacting to the ugly loss to the New York Jets?
Odds are, a lot of us felt triggered watching our beloved Houston Texans look like a string of Tik Tok Fail videos in front of the whole world. Last Thursday night was supposed to allow Demeco Ryans to showcase his next level team on prime time.
Instead, it was shades of Bill O’Brien all over. Against the authors of the butt-fumble, no less.
Sigh.
But, any given Sunday, right? Just not Thursday.
This week brings lots of questions and not many answers. But, the fine folks at SBNation did their thing and queried the fan base, eliciting responses to 3 key things.
Here’s what we learned:
The problems are fixable. Get a few players healthy and get the offensive line to play pro ball and this team is back on track quickly.
Speaking of getting healthy, Nico Collins should return imminently, possibly for the next week’s game on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.
In the meantime, it’s up to Ryans to get this thing back on track. Injuries happen, players and teams have bad games, but in the end, winning is all that matters. Not making excuses.
Can Ryans fix this offense? Well, *most* of us believe so.
Forgive me if I don’t have high hopes for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. Currently, inexplicably, it looks like their 68-year rebuild has finally paid off and the 1956 Lions are no longer the most recent championship caliber team from Detroit.
Of all the years for them to finally get it together…
