SB Nation polled fans on three questions after the impressive victory over the New England Patriots.
The (5-1) Houston Texans are about to take on the (4-2) Green Bay Packers in Green Bay, which will be one of their toughest games of the season.
According to this poll, 64% of Texans fans believe that the team should make a splash trade before the trade deadline. The reality is that the Texans are good enough to compete, but they are missing a few pieces and it would be wise of Houston’s front office to try and address those needs as best as they can.
If the Texans do make a trade, it is likely to be on the defensive side of the ball. Houston can use depth at cornerback and linebacker, along with a starter at safety.
This poll indicates which position that the Texans should address with a trade and to no surprise, safety is the top choice.
Houston has a very impressive rookie safety in Calen Bullock, but they need someone else to complement him. Veteran Jimmie Ward is injured far too often, and Eric Murray has been beaten for several touchdowns.
The Texans are one of the most exciting, young teams in the NFL in 2024 and will continue to be as long as C.J. Stroud is the quarterback in Houston. 98% of Texans fans feel the same way, which is great for a franchise that seemed hopeless not very long ago.
