Saquon Barkley might be interested in taking his talents to the AFC South.
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Barkley follows C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan. All four players are currently on the Houston Texans.
Barkley is also following a former superstar for the Texans in J.J. Watt.
This might not mean anything, especially since we can’t tell if Barkley just followed these players or if he’s been following them for a while now. Nonetheless, his future with the New York Giants is up in the air right now.
According to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, the G-Men don’t plan on using the franchise tag on Barkley for a second consecutive offseason.
“Unlike last year, when the Giants tagged Barkley after failing to come to a long-term deal, there is no real sentiment whatsoever that they are interested in doing that this time around,” Schwartz wrote.
If Barkley becomes a free agent, the Texans should consider signing him. He’d give their offense a much more balanced approach, something they lacked in the divisional round.
The Texans won’t be the only AFC team linked to Barkley. Apparently, the Chargers will be keeping a close eye on the former No. 2 overall pick.
