Now that he’s with the Houston Texans, C.J. Stroud will begin his NFL career playing all his home games indoors.
It sounds like he will welcome that change from his college days at Ohio State with open arms.
In The Athletic’s new rookie survey, Stroud provided an interesting answer to the question about what NFL rule change he would implement.
“I have two. Can I do two?” Stroud said. “I would say that everybody has to have a dome if you’re in a cold area. And two, more cool uniforms. I don’t think that uniforms are meant to be so generic. Tradition is fine. (But) I think that would make the game more fun. Every cold game in a dome … but it’s OK; you get used to it. Actually, I love playing in the cold, but it’s love-hate.”
Stroud played in plenty of cold weather during his time at OSU, but he turned in arguably the best performance of his career playing indoors against Georgia in the College Football Playoff.
This is CJ Stroud’s first time playing indoors at Ohio State. Seems good.

If he starts from Day 1 as a rookie, nine of Stroud’s 17 games will be played at home inside NRG Stadium.
Houston also has road indoor games set for Atlanta and Indianapolis, plus early-season outdoor games at Baltimore and Jacksonville when the weather should be warm.
Sounds like a favorable way to break into the NFL.
