The Houston Texans fell to 7-5 on the regular season after falling victim at home to the Tennessee Titans in a 32-27 loss.
The Texans have lost four of their past six games, with two coming at home. No one seems to have an answer as to why they can’t get things fixed or if its even possible this late in the year.
The reality for the Texans is that their team is on a pather to no return right now. Multiple flaws were on display against the Titans, including a secondary that will have to play without Jalen Pitre for several weeks. There’s also an offense that’s missing a spark after Sunday marked the fourth game in a month where the unit can’t score in the second half..
Houston might sit three games above .500, but does it feel like one of the better AFC rosters? Right now, perhaps. Well, they’d at least be in the same running with franchises like the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.
Meanwhile, Kansas City suffered a scare and needed a game-winning field goal to secure a victory over the Carolina Panthers. Just because the Chiefs have one loss doesn’t mean they’re the league’s best roster. Teams like Baltimore, Denver and Detroit are finding ways to win before the schedule becomes daunting down the stretch.
