The Houston Texans improved to 7-4 on the regular season after getting back to their winning ways with a 34-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” at AT&T Stadium.
The Texans’ win is a sign that a potent ground game could go far. Behind a three-touchdown evening from Joe Mixon, the Texans coasted back to the top of the charts. The former Pro Bowler averaged 5.5 yards per run and his over 100 yards for the fourth time in five games.
Houston might sit three games above .500, but does it feel like one of the better AFC rosters? Right now, perhaps. Well, they’d at least be in the same running with franchises like the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.
Meanwhile, Kansas City no longer remains undefeated after Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills sent a token of appreciation over to the 1972 Miami Dolphins on Sunday evening. Just because the Chiefs have one loss doesn’t mean they’re the league’s best roster. A team like Baltimore or Detroit is finding ways to win before the schedule becomes daunting down the stretch.
