Playoff football has nearly arrived, and as is customary for when the Houston Texans are involved, they will play in the Super Wild Card Weekend opening game at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at NRG Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Despite playing on the road, Los Angeles is the favorite in the eyes of most, as it finished the regular season with three consecutive wins while scoring 30 or more points. The Chargers also finished with the league’s points allowed per game average of 17.7.
Houston did not live up to the expectations of many in the regular season but can respond with a victory in the wild-card round. However, it will not come easy as the Chargers have fully embodied head coach Jim Harbaugh’s hard-nosed persona.
