The Houston Texans have improved their Super Bowl odds after the blockbuster trade for wideout Stefon Diggs.
Houston acquired Diggs and two late round selections from the Bills for a second-round pick on Wednesday and their Super Bowl odds are now at +1500, per Fanduel. Before the trade, they were at +2,000.
The Texans are all in for this season as they try and maximize their window during C.J. Stroud’s rookie contract. They want to build the best team they can around him before he gets his massive payday in a year or two.
Diggs forms a great one-two punch with Nico Collins at the wideout position, while the Texans also have Dalton Schultz at tight end and Joe Mixon, plus Dameon Pierce at running back.
The Texans are fresh off an AFC South title and Wild Card playoff win over the Cleveland Browns this past season before they lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round. They’re also going to be a scary team when they start firing on all cylinders for next season.
If you haven’t started betting on the Texans, now would be a good time because those odds may go up over the next few months.
