The bottom of the roster it about to churn.
After defeating the Los Angeles Rams this past weekend to improve their preseason record to 3-1, Nick Caserio and his team have to get to work sculpting the “final” 2024 roster.
On Tuesday, August 27 at 4pm EDT, all 32 NFL teams must have their final 53-man roster submitted to the league offices.
The final preseason game is often used to get a last look at players on the bubble. Many of those who got on the field against the Rams, and didn’t make good on the chance to wow the coaches and scouting staff, will never suit up in battle red ever again.
Players like Tim Boyle, Jawhar Jordan, Johnny Johnson III, Quintez Cephus, Solomon Byrd, Kris Boyd, D’Angelo Ross and others may be on the street by 4:01pm Tuesday.

Other players that might have a larger fan following, such as Cam Akers, Case Keenum, Xavier Hutchinson and John Metchie III might also need other employment opportunities. Despite all four contributing noticeably to the Houston Texans success of late, the depth chart ahead of them is fairly well locked in, not leaving much opportunity for these guys to stick.
Keep your eyes peeled and browsers refreshed today and tomorrow, folks. The tracker will likely go live soon. The inglorious side of free agency and rosterology starts now.
