A look into a potential offensive target for the Houston Texans.
The Houston Texans are in need of a true, gamechanger at tight end, and they may be interested in selecting one early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland is regarded as one of, if not the best tight end prospect in this upcoming draft, and the Texans had a meeting with him during the NFL Combine.

Loveland has elite potential in the NFL, and could be a monster target for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Loveland is 6’6 and can run every route in the playbook. The only real concern would be his blocking on a consistent basis, but that is something that could be coached up from new Texans offensive coordinator Nick Caley, who is a former tight end coach.
The Texans have a few solid options in their tight end room as of right now in Dalton Schultz, Brevin Jordan and Cade Stover. All three have shown flashes, but none possess the athletic ability and potential ceiling of Loveland.
Houston has not had a truly dominant tight end since Owen Daniels in 2012, in which he caught 62 passes for 716 yards and six touchdowns and Loveland could be the guy to bring life back to the position.
