The Houston Texans defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 20-12, on Friday night, improving their record to 1-1.
The big headline was starters saw action. C.J. Stroud, Stefon Diggs and countless other faces made their preseason debuts during the first quarter and saw action on several plays to set the season’s tone.
After a fast start from Stroud and Co., the offense stalled. Eventually, Dare Ogunbowale capped off a six-play drive in the second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run to make it 10-0.
On defense, Houston’s pass rush finally showed up. Danielle Hunter, Texans Wire’s star of the game, recorded his first sack in a new uniform. Mario Edwards and Jerry Hughes each were credited with one, plus two tackles for loss apiece.
