Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has been awfully impressive so far this season. The No. 2 overall pick has 1,660 passing yards, nine touchdowns and just one interception in six starts.
Speaking to the media this week, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans talked about Stroud’s early success in the NFL.
Even though Stroud possesses a ton of physical gifts, Ryans said the signal-caller’s mental approach is his greatest asset.
“It starts with his mental preparation,” Ryans said, via Jarrett Bell of USA Today. “He’s really dedicated to the process of studying, making sure he’s prepared when he goes into games. He’s also had success because the guys around him have all jelled well together.”

That’s quite the compliment from Ryans.
Stroud will get to showcase his skills this Sunday when the Texans face the Panthers. A win this weekend would improve Houston’s record to 4-3.
Kickoff for the Texans-Panthers game is at 1 p.m. ET.
