C.J. Stroud has been one of the biggest stories in the NFL through the first half of the 2023 season.
The Houston Texans’ rookie passer has been setting records, and at 4-4, has his team in the mix in the AFC playoff race heading into this Sunday’s game in Cincinnati.
While Stroud, a former Ohio State star, told reporters today he’s excited to play his first NFL game in Ohio, he did have one thing he’d change about this homecoming.
“I wish it was a little colder,” Stroud said of the projected weather forecast, which currently calls for temperatures in the mid-50s.

Stroud has already been back to Ohio once this season, serving as the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay for the Buckeyes’ matchup with Penn State on Oct. 21.
Coming off his 470-yard, five-touchdown effort in Sunday’s thrilling 39-37 comeback win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stroud currently owns a 62% completion rate with 2,270 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and one interception through eight games.
The Texans and Cincinnati Bengals will square off at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
