During this Wednesday’s news conference, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was asked about Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scheme.
Stroud, a former star at Ohio State, never defeated Michigan during his two-year stint as the program’s starting quarterback.
Even though Stroud could’ve used this scandal as an opportunity to throw shade at Michigan, he offered a wise response when asked about it.
“They beat us,” Stroud said. “It is what it is. I’m not super happy with that, but man I’m in the NFL now. I’m not worried about what happened in college.
“We had an idea that stuff was going on but at the end of the day it is what it is. I’m not here to go back and forth with that. I’m a Texan now. It is what it is. I’m not tripping off that.”

Michigan staffer Connor Stalions has already been suspended for his alleged role in this sign-stealing scheme.
During the Ohio State game, Stalions was caught standing next to Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter whenever Ohio State was on offense. When the Wolverines had the ball, however, Stalions stood next to co-offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore.
Ohio State will square off against Michigan on Nov. 25 in Ann Arbor.
