Wins may be hard to come by for Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud this season. But he’s gotten off to a good start and achieved a noteworthy accolade in the process.
On Thursday, Stroud was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month. He has thrown for 906 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions while going 1-2 in his first three games.
Stroud secured the first win of his professional career in a 37-17 road win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He threw for two touchdowns, including a 68-yarder that sealed the deal in the fourth quarter.
NFL fans were excited for Stroud and some have boldly declared that he’ll wind up being the top quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft class:

“Oh my days, my boy CJ on top fr man. Can’t believe you idiots thought that pip squeak Bryce was better,” one user replied.
“Now that he is no longer wearing scarlet and gray, I must openly say I like the cut of Stroud’s jib so far as Texans QB,” another wrote.
“I was wrong on CJ Stroud. I thought he would’ve been the worst out of the top 3 QBs drafted. I was wrong. Yet it’s a small sample size so far,” a third conceded.
Will Stroud win Rookie of the Year honors too?
