Every win counts for the Houston Texans, but this would be a big one.
The Texans take on the Tennessee Titans at Stadium Stadium in a clash of opponents who called Houston home at a point in history. With a win, Houston would move to 5-1 in the AFC South, thus leading to strong vibes entering the AFC Wild Card Round next weekend.
Houston (9-7) wants to close the season out on a high note. Starters are expected to play, though DeMeco Ryans didn’t announce for how long. With a victory, the Texans would secure a second 10-win season under the current regime, marking their first back-to-back double-digit victory campaign since 2019.
The Titans (3-13) remain lost entering the season finale. A team many envisioned to be a dark horse for the AFC postseason now inches closer to the No. 1 overall pick. With a loss on Sunday and a New England Patriots’ victory, Tennesssee would control the draft board en route to a potential franchise altering-quarterback.
Brian Callahan and Ran Carton are far from safe, too. The Titans haven’t won a game since Week 12’s victory over Houston and were outscored in their last three games by a combined 35 points. They’ve scored more than 30 points once since the win over the AFC South champions despite having an offensive-driven roster.
