The NFL is back in action at NRG Stadium for the Houston Texans.
Two games into the preseason, Houston has yet to touch the turf in front of the home crowd. All that changes on Saturday at noon when the Texans play host to the New York Giants. New York wants to prove last year’s flukes were subject to injury over regression.
The team lost Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley in free agency and did little to strengthen the quarterback room behind Daniel Jones, who’s coming off a torn ACL injury. They also lost star safety Xavier McKinney but traded for pass rusher Brian Burns, who quickly signed a five-year deal worth a maximum of $150 million.
New York has talented pieces and a young foundation that could catapult the persona into a dark horse contender conversation.
To get an inside look at New York’s offseason and overall expectations for the game, Texans Wire reached out to Dan Benton, managing editor of Giants Wire, to break down everything Texans fans should expect on Saturday when the NFC East franchise takes the field.
