The Houston Texans survived against the winless Jacksonville Jaguars, 24-20, to improve to 3-1 and 2-0 in the AFC South.
C.J. Stroud made sure to keep the good times rolling by connecting with running back Dare Ogunbowale for the go-ahead 1-yard touchdown with 18 seconds remaining.
Stroud was terrific Sunday, throwing for 345 yards and two touchdown passes. So was Nico Collins, who had a career-high 12 catches.
The rest of the Texans? They have serious room for improvement.
Penalties once again haunted them, letting Jacksonville was able to hang around and even take a 20-17 lead entering the final drive.
Houston will take the win, but those errors won’t cut it next week against an improving AFC contender in Buffalo.
Here are five takeaways from Sunday’s win at NRG Stadium.
