The Houston Texans are on the clock.
Well, they’re actually waiting 24 picks, but at least they know where they’re selecting in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With the 25th overall pick, the Texans could go multiple ways in bettering their roster. They must upgrade the interior offensive line with a long-term option at left guard. Targeting a defensive tackle shouldn’t be too hard of an option, especially given the depth of the class.
With Tank Dell expected to miss most of the regular season after suffering a knee injury in Week 16, targeting a No. 2 receiver has moved up the draft pecking order. Safety and running back depth also could be top needs with Eric Murray and Dare Ogunbowale entering free agency.
Last week, 55 underclassmen officially declared for the 2025 NFL draft. This isn’t to say Houston can’t draft a senior prospect with its early selections, but there’s options past those participating next week down at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
