Dana Holgorsen has seen a lot over his time in college football, but nothing quite like Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs.
Speaking to reporters at Big 12 Media Day as the Houston Cougars prepare for their first season in their new conference, Holgorsen admitted he’s in awe of what Smart has built down in Athens.
“I’ve been to Alabama, I’ve been to a lot of NFL places. What they’re doing right now at Georgia is on a whole other level,” Holgorsen said, via Zach Barnett.

The Bulldogs are riding high off back-to-back championships loaded with numerous first-round picks. UGA won 81 of its 96 games under the former Saban assistant, and they don’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Over the years, Holgorsen has established himself as one of college football’s brightest offensive minds, so his words hold weight in eyes of many.
Once again, Georgia enters the season as the preseason No. 1 and the overwhelming favorite to be holding the CFP trophy at NRG Stadium.
