The Aggie legend continues to see his NFL legend grow
Mike Evans was an absolute touchdown machine during his time at Texas A&M, catching 17 TD passes in his two years playing alongside QB Johnny Manziel. And now in his 11th NFL season, all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Evans’ TD prowess has yet to slow down.
On Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons, he caught two TD passes, the second of which gave him 100 career NFL touchdowns. That puts him at No. 1 in active touchdowns in the league.
Watch them both here.

Evans is narrowly ahead of Baltimore RB Derrick Henry on the career TD list (who has 99), so who knows whether Evans’ spot at the top will even last the weekend, but that doesn’t make what he’s done in his career any less impressive. Evans has had 12 or more touchdowns in a season FIVE TIMES in his career, and is well on his way to doing that again with five TDs through five weeks of the 2024 season.
In addition to TDs, Evans is also third on the active receiving yards list with 11,956 yards, behind only Julio Jones (who is on the Eagles but hasn’t started more than five games since 2021) with 13,703 and Tennessee’s DeAndre Hopkins with 12,476.
