Aggies add even more secondary depth
Texas A&M continued to add depth via the transfer portal on Sunday, securing a commitment from former Washington Huskies and Indiana Hoosiers CB Jordan Shaw.

After redshirting in 2023 at Indiana, Shaw transferred to Washington for the 2024 season, where he appeared in all 13 games and made eight starts. Last season he totaled 37 tackles, four tackles for loss and six pass breakups. He led the Huskies secondary in tackles for loss and was tied for second on the team in pass breakups. He played primarily at the nickel position at Washington, so that may be where the A&M staff will slot him in as well (either competing with or as the successor to Tyreek Chappell, who is still recovering from a season-ending injury).
Shaw has three years of eligibility remaining, and is the second CB commit for A&M this offseason, joining Georgia CB Julian Humphrey.
The Aggies now have 12 transfer commits, with a class that is currently ranked No. 5 nationally. Nine of those 12 are at either WR, CB or DL. the Ag’s biggest positions of need this offseason.
