Well that’s never fun.
Texas A&M got off to a hot start in the 2026 recruiting class, and while they still hold commits from some elite recruits and are in the running for many more, they did suffer a setback in the recruiting rankings on Tuesday, as two players chose to decommit from the Aggies: Langston Hughes TE Xavier Tiller and North Forney CB Ryan Gilbert.
BREAKING: Four-Star TE Xavier Tiller has Decommitted from Texas A&M, he tells me for @on3recruits
The 6’5 225 TE from Fairburn, GA had been Committed to the Aggies since November

Gilbert was a three-star recruit ranked No. 472 in the 247 Sports composite rankings, while Tiller was a four-star recruit, ranked No. 131.
Despite the decommitments, the Aggies still currently have the No. 4 class in the country for 2026, and still have one TE committed with four-star California product Caleb Tafua. Interestingly enough, all but one of A&M’s eight current commits is from outside the state of Texas.
