
Aggies gets one of the top ball carriers in Texas
Texas A&M is hosting several high-level football recruits on visits this weekend and one of the best of the bunch has just committed to the good guys. Cibolo Steele RB Jonathan Hatton, a top 100 recruit nationally, has verbally committed to Texas A&M.

Hatton is ranked as the No. 75 player in the country, the No. 5 RB and the No. 10 player in Texas, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He chose the Aggies over offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Tennessee, among many others.
Mike Elko and the Aggies now have eight commits in their 2026 recruiting class, with Hatton becoming the second-highest-ranked among them behind only WR Aaron Gregory. His commitment moves A&M’s 2026 class from No. 10 to No. 6 in the national rankings.
