Aggies building an elite DB class in 2025
Texas A&M already had what was shaping up to be a very good DB crop in their 2025 recruiting class. But it just went from good to potentially elite on Friday with the commitment of national top 100 recruit Adonyss Currie from Lancaster, CA.

Currie is currently ranked as the No. 74 recruit in the country, the No. 8 cornerback and the No. 6 player in California. He chose the Aggies over offers from Nebraska, Washington, Miami, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas, among many others. He’s the second Aggie commit from California, joining five-star QB Husan Longstreet, with those two being the two highest-rated recruits in the class thus far.
In addition to Currie, the Ags have three other blue chip CBs in this class: Cobey Sellers, Jamar Beal-Goines and Deyjhon Pettaway.
Texas A&M now has a total of 12 commits in this year’s recruiting class, which is now ranked No. 7 in the country.
