Let’s stay there this time.
Well it didn’t take long for the national media to jump back on the Texas A&M bandwagon. Just two weeks after they dropped from No. 20 to out of the rankings after a loss to (then) No. 7 Notre Dame, the Aggies are back…in the Associated Press Top 25, coming in at No. 25 following their 33-20 win over Florida.

Despite falling out of the top 25 after their season-opening loss to Notre Dame, the Aggies were never all that far from re-entering, finishing with the 26th-most votes in Week 2 and 28th-most votes in Week 3. So coming back into the rankings isn’t that surprising, especially with No. 20 Arizona and No. 24 Boston College losing.
The Aggies are heavy favorites this Saturday against Bowling Green, and likely will be again when they play Arkansas on Sept. 28. If they can take care of business in those two games, it sets up a potential top 20 matchup as A&M hosts Mizzou in October.
